The initiative is aimed at improving the quality of scientific research, fostering the professional growth of young researchers, and training competitive professionals in today’s Ukrainian context.
Over the course of five days, participants had the opportunity to hear from experts in various scientific and legal fields who shared practical insights and concrete advice for building a successful academic career.
Among the invited speakers was Ganna Gnizdovska, Ph.D. in Law, attorney, and Managing Partner at "Juris Ferrum" Law Firm, who delivered a lecture titled:
“Protecting the Intellectual Property Rights of Young Scientists: Legal Aspects of Combating Plagiarism”.
Her lecture addressed key practical issues that young researchers often encounter, including:
• the variety of intellectual property objects created by young scientists;
• legal mechanisms for protecting copyrights, utility models, and patents;
• types of academic misconduct and how to identify them;
• legal liability for violating intellectual property rights in academia;
• practical recommendations for preventing plagiarism;
• a review of Ukrainian case law related to IP rights protection for scientists.
The lecture sparked strong interest among the audience, as evidenced by in-depth questions and a lively, constructive discussion following the presentation.
